Everyone has two grief stories: the one they tell others (aka “My mom died”) and the one they tell themselves. These inner stories are often darker, more judgmental narratives that leave us feeling like no one understands us in our grief—or like our suffering will last forever.
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
The three painful stories almost every griever tells themselves
The three helpful phrases that interrupt and rewrite those stories
How to customize the phrases with your mom’s (or another loving person’s) caring voice, so they feel even more healing to you
How use the phrases both for yourself in the present—and for younger versions of yourself that felt crazy, alone, or hopeless in the past
